Presently I am in England and Daniels death feels very surreal from this distance. He was a great role model as a husband and family man, as well as a mentor to many in his dearly loved running community. He will deservedly be remembered well by so many, and I say that from the perspective of one knowing him when young and mainly only hearing about him in recent years. Scott has been keeping me updated over recent weeks. My hugest sympathies to you especially Kay, your children and to your wider family. Much love Celia (aka Ceals)!

To Kaye and family
We were so sad to hear of Daniels passing. It seems like only a number of weeks ago I saw him out walking and we had a lovely chat.
We will remember him fondly as such a friendly man who was clearly a devoted family man.
We are thinking of you all as you navigate life without Daniel who was clearly a much loved husband, dad and grandfather.
With love from Gill and Geoff White

Dear Kaye,
Denise and I are away overseas. We were really sad to hear of Daniel“s death from cancer. We are so very sorry. He was a great bloke and a fierce competitor. I have fond memories of the road relays and the battles we had with Daniel and his University team mates. Please accept our sincere condolences.
