Daniel John (Danny):
On September 20, 2019 peacefully at home, aged 62 years. Loved husband of Cathryn, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Bernard, Elizabeth, Juliette and Mark. Adored pops of Henry and Addison. Loved brother of Susan Livermore, and uncle of David, Andrew and their families.
Our legend will be greatly missed by many. Messages may be addressed to the family of the late Danny O'Neill, PO Box 2284, Christchurch 8140, or Liz O'Neill, c/o Harcourts Merivale, 175 Papanui Road, Christchurch 8014. The Funeral Service will be held at Harewood Golf Club, 371 McLeans Island Road, Harewood, Christchurch, on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11.00am. Private Cremation thereafter.

I worked with Danny several times over the last 40 years (BNSW / Westpac / SBS), what a fantastic guy. He'd give you the shirt off his back, always keen to help others whether that be work, or personally. And what a great tribute with so many friends and colleagues at the funeral (so apt that it was held at Harewood Golf Club - Danny's 2nd home !!). So many faces I'd not seen for years all turned up to farewell Danny and pay their respects. Danny being such a staunch family man, and so very close (daily) to Cathryn, Liz, Juliette, his 2 adored grandchildren, Bernard, Cathryn's mum and all their partners etc - Danny will be sorely missed by his family - especially Henry & Addison who wont understand what's happened and will be missing their Pops. Wishing all the family our very sincere condolences - Pete & Lynda Russell.

I was at school with Danny O. A life taken too soon. An intelligent man who will be sadly missed. His style was unique.
