Cornelia RIETVELD Obituary

On September 9, 2025, passed peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 88 years. Beloved wife of Guy, loved mother and treasured Oma to her 5 children, grand and great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand would be greatly appreciated and can be made online at www.caritas.org.nz/donatenow Messages may be addressed to the "Rietveld family" PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A Requeim Mass for Lia will be Celebrated at St Mary's Pro Cathedral, Manchester Street, Christchurch, on Saturday, September 13, at 9.30am. Rosary will be recited in the church on Friday, September 12 at 5.00pm.

Deepest condolences on Lia´s sad passing. I was always fond of the tante Lia of my childhood, and so very sad to hear she has gone. Lia was such a dear and generous friend to my mum Doortje for as long as I can remember, and a great comfort to me when she passed away 15 years ago. I am very sorry I won´t be able to attend the funeral in person. I will miss Lia, and always remember her with great fondness.
