Constance Sarah (Connie):
In Rangiora, on September 8, 2015, aged 90 years. Darling wife of the late Ernie, aunt of Clifford and Merle Buchanan (Te Anau), Heather Birch and Noel Collie (Christchurch), Merilyn and Donald Knowles (Twizel), Brenda and Martin Huzzey (Tasmania), and Russell Buchanan (Christchurch). Also aunt-in-law to June and Alan May (Enderby, UK), Sylvia and John Pridham (Bexhill-on-sea, UK), and all their respective children and grandchildren. Special friend of Rose Tierney. The family wishes to thank Rose for her compassionate care of Connie. Flowers respectfully declined, but donations to Cancer Research would be appreciated and may be made at the service. Connie's Service will be held at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Pound Street, Amberley, on Saturday, September 12, at 10.30am. Private cremation thereafter.

Fond memories of Connie (and Ernie) who were very good to me and my four siblings as we were growing up. They were very much part of the group attending winter balls and "dine and dances" with our parents and I can still see them in their ball attire. They had my sister and I to stay when they lived in Moreland Ave and I can recall that home very well. It seemed very modern and new as we lived in a two bedroomed villa at that stage!! Always bright, articulate, interesting to talk to and interested in keeping up with what we were doing. A good long and full life they both had. Love from Gendy.
