This may sound strange, but I walk around the cemetery at St Mary's every Monday afternoon, have read every gravestone occasionally put some flowers down so naturally have come across the headstone of Colleen's husband alot, I was super sad to see a new cross in front of it today with Colleen's name, it may seem oddas I did not know her but when you spend so much time in a place you start to feel a little connected to the people that are there .
Condolences to her family, after reading through the comments she seemed like a wonderful lady

Farewell dear Nana B. You have lived a good life, been a role model, inspiration and guiding light to many. I will miss your welcome smile whenever I visited you when I was in Christchurch. And in earlier times, always a hug and warm welcome to your home. Thank you for being such a lovely Nana/friend to Dean and me. Rest in Peace, good servant of the Lord, and now you will meet your dear Evan. Sympathies to all the family and especially thinking of your grandchildren, scattered all over the world.
Big hugs to you all xxxx

Mrs Borlase, thank you for being a warm heart living around the corner from me growing up. You were so special to me and I will treasure my time with you always. I loved it when you took me out in your mini for a girls day out, took me to share church with you and Evan, and not to mention the best breakfast spread a young girl could handle. Your big hugs and patience with me, as I ran away from my house to yours :). You were a beautiful lady and the best roll model ever. Love to you and to the family, Melanie Sargent x

It is with great sadness that I say goodbye to my dear friend Colleen, but I know she was ready to go meet her Lord and Saviour and to join Evan in eternity. Till we meet again my friend, Love from Judy.
