Colin WEBB Obituary

Passed away peacefully on 23rd August 2023, aged 73. Dearly loved friend of Pasang and Yangzin Sherpa. Loved brother of Stephen, Graham and Terry. Special thanks to Karori Village for such good care in Colin?s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations made on-line to Dementia Wellington would be appreciated (dementiawellington.org.nz). Messages to the Sherpa and Webb families may be posted c/- 306 Willis Street, Aro Valley, Wellington, 6011. I only met Colin once in 2019. He was with Pasang and Yangzin at a lunch. I remember his kindness and gentleness and could see how much he was loved by his friends.

I´m shocked and so sorry to hear of Colin´s passing. I have known Colin for 50 years. We met at a service called Youthline - a telephone service that offered help to people in crisis or just needing a sympathetic ear. I moved to Canada in 1978, but we stayed in touch over the years with occasional visits when I was in NZ, and with Xmas cards every year. The last time I saw Colin was several years ago when we stayed with Colin and Pasang in Wellington. Colin had a brilliant mind, and was a kind and gentle soul. He will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to all his family and friends.

Saddened and shocked to read of Colin's passing. My sincere condolences to all the Webb family. Happy memories of Colin's valued friendship at Marlborough Boys' College, our University years and beyond. Sadly we lost touch after the mid 1970's but Colin has never been forgotten.
