Colin Frederick:
Formerly of Erewhon Station, Sheffield and Amberley, aged 72, has put away the hill stick and hung up his hat for the last time. Beloved husband of Lilian, father of Robert, Di, Sue and Bruce and partners. Grandpa to Samantha, Hamish, Jessica and Rebecca. Memorial Service 'the last muster' will be held at Amberley Pavillion (The Tin Shed), Amberley Domain, Douglas Road, on Friday, August 2, at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Amberley District Nurses would be appreciated. Messages to 5 Haydon Place, Amberley 7410.

Colin you were a kind hearted and well respected neighbour up in the Ashburton high country. Always patient, witty and willing to help anyone. A great teacher to me and many others while I was farming and woolclassing. Thoughts are with Lilian and all of your family. Farewell from across the Tasman.

So sorry to hear of Colin's death. Condolences to Lil and family. We remember Colin as a lovely gentle man who was a quiet achiever from Erewhon days when we had a Bach at Clearwater and Mum and Dad spent a lot of time at the Skifield. Some great memories and fun times had.

Absolute top bloke gone too soon, I met Colin through my good friend and his son Bruce. My thoughts and condolences are with all the family at this sad time.
