Robert GARDNER Obituary

Kelley and family,
Please accept my condolences. I am a friend of Mac from long ago and only slightly younger than him, I was in contact with Mac in May this year after many years out of contact and living in different locations. I had intended to talk to him this week for a proper catch-up when I returned to Dunedin for another visit. Unfortunately this cannot now happen. I was only able to have a brief chat with him when I phoned on 31st May. We are very saddened to learn of Dr Gardner's passing. We first met him in 1987 when he was involved with research on our family genetics. He met us again a few years later as a part of a follow-up and he remembered us. He was the same pleasant man on both occasions, and very thorough in the whole procedure. We send our sincere condolences to his family.
