Christopher Nugent:
Passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2017, aged 68. Best friend and dearly beloved husband, for 47 years, of Monica. Greatly respected and loved father of Philip, Holly, Allanah, Paul, Bryony, and Jeremy. Adored grandfather of his eleven grandchildren, and brother of Michael and Nicolas.
Faithful, humorous and generous to the end.
A celebration of Chris' life will be held at Kingsway Event Centre, 100 Jelas Road, Orewa, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at 2.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand.

We never met in person I don't think, but I admired him form afar. I was proud to have a musical, committed christian in the family. He visited my mother, Dorothea Fowler nee Quick, once in Papanui, Christchurch. (Dorothea's mother was Chris's Grandfather, Nugent's sister). So I would have been something like a second cousin I think.
