Christopher PICKRILL Obituary

With much sadness the Pickrill family announce the death of Christopher John on November 7, 2024. He was the much loved husband of Lou (Linda), a wonderful Daddo and Dad-in-law to Rebekkah, Jane and Rob, and Abbie and Nathan, and an adored Poppa to Frances, Marcel, Florence and Odin. Chris was a loved brother and brother-in-law to Dick and Di, Susan and John, and Christine and Ken. The celebration for Chris will be held at Rydges Latimer Square, Christchurch, on Tuesday, November 19 from 3.00 to 5.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude would be appreciated to acknowledge their wonderful care of Chris.

I just heard with great sadness about the death of Chris.
My father, Ernest, was a great friend of Chris's father, Stan, when we all lived in the Harrow, UK, area.
Chris and I were very close friends till Chris and his family moved away when we were both about 12. I never saw him again, but got news periodically of the family in Christchurch.
More recently, my niece, Katherine, stayed briefly with the Pickrill family in Christchurch.

With kindest thoughts to exceptional Lou and family as a real character passes on. As a great member of the April '67 team we will all miss him, but the memories of wonderful times together will stay on. Farewell Chris , suffer no longer and thanks for the good friendship and fun we had . The Duffs.
