REGNAULT,
Christine Margaret:
At Kaingaroa, Chatham Islands, on June 16, 2022, aged 71 years. The result of a tragic accident. She will be sadly missed by Jim, Sally, and Ben Muirson, Jane King, Christopher Regnault and the wider Chathams Island community. Sincere thanks to the Chathams Police, Ambulance and Fire Services. Her ashes will be placed beside her father at Te Awarakau on the Chathams on Saturday, July 2. Messages to Jane King, [email protected] [email protected]. Okioki i runga i te rangimarie Christine.

Total shock with Chris's passing but it is a number of years ago now that I worked with her at Ohura School. She was a very caring person & well known in the Community. She never moved very fast, not even driving her ute into town every Friday after school. The tamariki in my class would always tell me to get away before Miss Renault otherwise I'd never get home.
I remember her returning to the Chathams & taking magnolia trees she had grown to plant round her "shed".
Such a lovely lady. Condolences to friends & extended whanau.
I so hope she didn't suffer as Chris certainly didn't deserve to. Kind regards Pauline Dixon (Lou)

I worked with Chris in Ohura many moons ago. So sad to hear this good lady has passed.
