Many years ago we taught together at Ashburton College. We shared an interest in drama, and worked together on quite a few productions. Chris was the Wardrobe Mistress, and I was sometimes her helper. I stepped up into the role when she left Ashburton. Here we are in 1974, cast and crew of 'Antigone'. Chris is in the middle row, second from the left, and I am in the same row, second from the right. We went on school ski trips, too, and once very bravely, went down to Treble Cone together. She was better at it than I was! My condolences to her family - you lost Chris too soon!

Mrs Philpott was my form teacher in 7th form. She was the warmest lady and so much fun. I remember the weekly class excursion on the school bus to go and do really adult activities. We even got to do wine tastings and she was so down to earth. Such a lovely lady who taught at Hillmorton High School for many years and even did the adult education classes at night.
May this lovely lady rest in peace as she has touched the hearts of many.
