Christine MORRIS Obituary

I had not had contact with Christine for many years. I am now retired and had to clean out my office, where I found all the correspondence we had with Christine about her stay and work in our laboratory at CHLA in Los Angeles. I decided to contact her to ask if she would like a copy. I asked AI if it could find recent articles about her and was immensely saddened to read of her passing. Christine was an inspiring colleague and a wonderful and kind human being. My sincere condolences to all her loved ones. I am so sorry for your loss and wish I had reached out to her sooner.

My heartfelt condolences to Peter, Christine's and Peter's families. To reiterate Jeff's message below, Christine was a very kind, gentle, intelligent and thoughtful person. I studied with Christine for many years and she instilled in me a love for the search of genetic abnormalities that cause cancer, wanting to help people, to conduct quality work, and that details matter! An important mentor to me in my early career, she created a wonderful research team that I enjoyed working and socializing with - I won't ever forget those wonderful Christmas Brunches her and Peter put on for us. Christine helped me navigate the research environment in New Zealand, connections in the field and determine what I wanted to do longer term. RIP Christine, XXX.

Sincerest condolences to Christine's extended family. Christine was a lovely, intelligent and thoughtful person, and a pleasure to know. I will miss our many conversations and her warm smile.
