I worked with Mrs Hamory in Nursing Admin at Christchurch Hospital in the 1970s. She was a lovely kind and gentle person to work with. I remember they used to breed budgies and Mrs Hamory would always tell me when eggs were hatching. I went round for tea once and we had pineapple meringue pie for dessert.
