SUMMERS,
Charles Bancourt (Charlie):
Passed away on June 21, 2016, at Parklands Hospital surrounded by his loving family, aged 92 years. Devoted and loving husband of the late Pam, loved father of Jan Spragg; Craig and Tor, wonderful grandad "GD" of Della and Lee; Chris, Katie, and great-grandad Charlie of Charlotte and Natalie. Loving brother of Jean and the late Len Frances. Messages may be addressed to the family of the Late Charlie Summers, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Royal Foundation of the Blind would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Memorial Service to Celebrate Charlie's life will be held in the Elmwood Bowling Club, 83 Heaton Street, Strowan, on Monday, June 27, at 2.00pm.

Charlie, (Chas) was a valued member of the Elmwood Bowling Club for over 30 years and was a life member. He contributed not only on the greens but as administrator and builder when upgrades for the club were needed.
In his later playing years he became a mentor, couch, and good friends to the younger and new players. Chas was a character and we remember his saying well and always complained that we should have home pours for whisky at the club. Rest easy Chas.
