Dear Wayne and Glenys,
Charles and I were very sorry to learn of Sid’s passing.
Life without your dear Dad and best Father-in-law will be difficult at times but the closeness you have with your lovely family will keep you warm.
The many wonderful memories you all share will give you great comfort. Sending love to you both, also to Bev and Dave, Debbie and families.

Dear cousin Bev and family,
It was so sad to hear via the family grapevine of Sid's passing.
We remember with fondness catching up with the Rimmers at their Australian 'winter' home.
Sid was in his element at the beach, always cheerful, always entertaining, always making that day a bit more special.
I hope your grief at this time soon eases enough to let you remember, and smile, at the many memories you made together.
RIP Sid

My condolences to Bev and family on your loss.
Sid was a lovely man and was very well respected by members of Halswell Bowling Club. Having worked with Sid over the years on the Club Match Committee duties I can say it was a real pleasure knowing him. Sid had experienced a lot in his life and told some great stories about his time with Lifesaving and his work travels.
Farewell old friend. Phil

My sincere condolences to all the Rimmers. I remember Sid so well - a top man and fun to be with - we had some good times together as families when we moved to Christchurch and lived next door to the Rimmers - heck it must be 55 years ago. I'm sorry we lost touch over the years, and sad that mum & dad hadn't caught up with Bev & Sid for a few years now. Bev - it's so sad for you to lose Sid after all these years together. My best regards to Wayne, Debbie, David, & families. I'm thinking of you now (& so will dad be). Mum passed away only a week or so back and I know one of her disappointments was not being well enough to catch up with Bev & Sid over the last few short years. It would be lovely if we could catch up again at some stage soon Bev. Love to all from Pete Russell, and John Russell.
