Passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Addington Gardens Care Centre, aged 72 years. Loved husband of Gaynor (deceased), loved father of Nicola (Melbourne), Nathan (Christchurch), and the late Vanessa, and Grandpa of Billie. A dear friend of Madelaine Otto.

A celebration of Charles' life will be held at Westpark, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 10.00am, followed by interment at Belfast Cemetery, 141 Belfast Road, Belfast. Very dearly loved fifth son of Charles and Alice Pickworth (both deceased), brother and brother-in-law of Les and Bev (Oamaru), Mary (deceased) and Bob Dick (Dunedin), Vonnie and Earl Schluter (both deceased), John and Heather (Christchurch), Norman and Vera (deceased)(Rockhampton), Eileen and Ron Nicholson (both deceased) (Christchurch), Graham and Annette (deceased) (Oamaru), Colleen and Bayne Ornberg (Rockhampton), Don and Paula (deceased) (Dunedin), Alison and Peter Vickery (Dunback), Ross and Terri (West Melton), and loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews.
