I met Charlie through Bill Wimpory (he died 2008) Bill and Charlie were great friends for many years and Charlie and I continued our Skype friendship on a regular basis. We both missed Bill. Charlie was a one off, a gentleman of the best kind, knowledgeable and kindly. I will miss our very funny chats. Diane

Charlie will be sorely missed. He was a very integral part of the Darfield Life Church formerly the Mountianview Community Church, serving mostly unseen, but always a warm welcome awaited anyone who visited with him. Thank you Charlie for your love care and service over the years. You will be celebrating now with your Saviour. Xx

Charlie was a much-loved teacher at Darfield High (even for those of us who were not among his favourites, the woodwork boys) and I am grateful to have known him. Warm thoughts are with Richard and Chris at this time.
