McCAUGHAN,
Charles Ernest (Charlie):
(Reg. No. 40553, WWII). On July 26, 2016, peacefully at Darfield Hospital, aged 97 years. Much loved husband of the late Jean, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Richard and Barb, and Chris and Donna, and very special grandad and
great-grandad. Many thanks
to the staff of Darfield Hospital and Medical Centre, and the Malvern District Nurses for their care of Charlie. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Charlie McCaughan, c/- PO Box

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of Darfield Hospital Charitable Trust would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. The Funeral Service for Charlie will be held in the
Trinity Church, McLaughlins
Road, Darfield, on Monday, August 1, at 11.00am, followed by a private burial.

I met Charlie through Bill Wimpory (he died 2008) Bill and Charlie were great friends for many years and Charlie and I continued our Skype friendship on a regular basis. We both missed Bill. Charlie was a one off, a gentleman of the best kind, knowledgeable and kindly. I will miss our very funny chats. Diane

Charlie will be sorely missed. He was a very integral part of the Darfield Life Church formerly the Mountianview Community Church, serving mostly unseen, but always a warm welcome awaited anyone who visited with him. Thank you Charlie for your love care and service over the years. You will be celebrating now with your Saviour. Xx
