Bruce B J Leeming
Earlier today
My thoughts and condolences are with friends and family as they say goodbye to Charles today. Charles was a fine musician (guitarist) I met when he was playing with Sideline Swing and recently with Ellesmere Big Band. Through Rob LeSueur he got together with us replacing keyboard as the Vinegar Jam Trio, which I think he enjoyed. A very knowledgeable and easy nature he was indeed a "gentleman and scholar". If there is a life after death with all the musos that have gone before you, you're going to have a blast. Farewell mate and thanks for your playing. PS. keep a spot for me. God Bless. Bruce Leeming "Vinegar Jam".

I really enjoyed the years we spent playing music together, and also the conversations where we discussed the ups and downs of life and gave each other some moral support.

It is with great sadness that Sideline Swing learned of Charles' passing.
For many years Charles was a valued member of our rhythm section, playing guitar. Current members of the band who remember Charles have fond memories of their time creating music together.
Rest peacefully, Charles.
This portrait of Charles was painted as a leaving gift for him (painted by Ryan Green).
