BRENSSELL,
Charles Henry (Charlie):
Peacefully at Burwood Hospital on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in his 89th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Elaine, loving father of Doug, Donna, Graeme and Malcolm, respected father-in-law of John and Rosalind, dearly loved by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a loved brother of Betty and Lynette. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Charlie Brenssell, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Nurse Maude Association would be appreciated, and may be made at the service. Due to current restrictions on large gatherings, there is a limit of 100 attendees. If you would like to attend Charlie's Funeral Service on Monday, January 31, please email the family at [email protected] Vaccine passes will be required.

I am so sorry to hear that Charlie has passed. I had so much respect for him, we crossed paths when he worked at Millbrook in Arrowtown and I was at Placemakers. Charlie was a true gentlemen and I feel very honoured to have worked with him.

My deepest sympathy to the family during this sad time.
Charlie was the first person to greet me & welcome me to Fiana Isaac Retirement Village when I moved in 2 weeks after him!
That was 8 years ago! Missed him after he moved. RIP Charlie
