Cecelia CUNNINGHAM Obituary

Peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Christchurch Hospital. Much loved wife of the late Joe. Cherished and devoted mother and mother-in-law of Helen and Brian, Ross and Trish (Perth), Peter and Judi (Melbourne), and Kevin. Loved and treasured Grandma of Jayne and James, Kelly and Rob, Julie and Chris, Ben Joseph and Kellie, Nikki and Mike, and Lisa and Wade; and much loved Great-Grandma of Liam, Kaitlin, Jasmine, Isaac, Connor, Patrick, Mya, Kiani, Jobe, Bailey, Sharni, Eva, and Sonny. Beloved sister of her late brothers and sisters, and sister-in-law of Bid Cunningham. A dearly loved aunty to all her nieces and nephews. In accordance with Cecelia's wishes, a private family celebration of her life has been held. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Christchurch Hospital and Ngaio Marsh.

Fond memories growing up of Joe,Cecelia and family.Joe always seemed to appear with treats for us at Roker St.,a twinkle in his eye.
Cecelia was a beautiful gentle soul.

Condolences to all the Cunningham family. Your Mum was a lovely lady always on the lookout for those around her. Great memories of growing up at Hastings St, Wilsons Rd and Bond St intersection...always felt a bit ironic that Catholics were all around the hideous Baptist church and hall which are, thankfully, no longer there.

To an old lost friend along with all of your family.
Kev, I offer our deepest condolences with the passing of your Mum.
I still remember her from 50 odd years back when I used to stop in so we´d walk to school together.
Gosh... time fly´s by fast huh?
Should you need a hand or an open ear, I´m still around.
I´m sure your Mum was very proud of you all and now she can rest easy.
