Catherine MARR Obituary

Catherine's family would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who, in any way offered sympathy and condolences to us with her untimely passing at just 41 years old. Thank you to all those who attended her funeral service in Methven, many who we never managed to see personally. We have been humbled with deliveries of flowers, food, baking, cards, emails, texts, phone calls and visits from around the country and the world. Our thanks and appreciation to all those involved with eating disorders in both Christchurch and Wellington. We also would like to thank and acknowledge the wonderful team at the Methven Medical Centre and the fabulous neighbourhood in Methven. Her eating disorder and illness has taken quite a toll on our family, and on Catherine for many years. Whilst it is devastatingly sad that she is no longer with us, relief also that she no longer is suffering. Thank you all so much.

Frail as summer flowers we flourish
Blows the wind… and it is gone.
Mortals like us rise up, then perish
But memories of Catherine continue on.
