To Cathy´s family - this is such a sad and unexpected loss for you all. May God bless and comfort you.
My association with Cathy was as a parent and colleague during my time as school librarian. She was a fabulous teacher and grounded the kids thoroughly in literacy and numeracy. She was adored by the son she taught, and was his favourite teacher ever.
I bumped into Cathy about three weeks before her death and we had such a good laugh about school and the current crazy world.
She always had a ready laugh and kind word to say especially in trying times. I loved her optimism and candid observation.
If I had known I would have attended her funeral.
May you all find comfort in your memories of this lovely woman - wife, mother, Nana, sister, Aunty, cousin, mother-in-law and friend.

I just heard of Cathy´s passing. She was a fabulous colleague, always up for a chat, receptive to learning new digital information, and always stood up for me as a `learning how things go new teacher.´ To Cathy´s family especially new granddaughter, may your memories be as sweet as the often pink shoes and matching cardigan your mother adorned.

Kevin, Joanne, Michelle, Philippa & families

So sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Cathy. She was a lovely lady who always showed an interest in people.

Her involvement with the University of Canterbury Children's Athletics Club helped establish it as a great club for children to belong. She warmly welcomed our family when we joined and was most helpful. Cathy was a great manager on the Canterbury 12 & 13 year old interprovincial team, and we had some great trips away with those teams.

Kind regards

To Kevin, Joanne, Michelle, Philippa and families,

It is with great sadness to hear of Cathy´s passing.

We will never forget her enthusiastic involvement with the Canterbury University Junior Athletics Club.

We fondly remember her at the Saturday morning QE II athletics´ meetings where the club was responsible for the long jump pit and discus circle.
Cathy kept everyone on task with a smile, especially the men who were raking the pit and attempting to discuss the rugby simultaneously.

Our love and thoughts to you all.
Mike, Pauline, Michelle, Corrine, and Nicole Godber.
