Carol had a generous heart. She always welcomed me with a big friendly smile and took the time to listen. She made the best ginger crunch & let me have sleepovers and swim in the family para pool for many hours. Whenever I saw her at Mckenzie and Willis she looked to be in her element surrounded by nice textiles and classy furnishings, she exuded alot of confidence in that setting. One of my first memories of her was when I was with Sue - Carol was working in the little shoe shop on Marshlands Road where the Palms is now. Carol will always be remembered by those who's lives she touched.
My sympathies go to her family for their loss, I know she was very proud of you all and loved you dearly xo

I was so sorry to hear that Carol had passed away. She was just such a friendly person, and took the time to chat to me and get me settled at my first art exhibition a few years ago. We were often beside each other and I loved her stories about her fabric creations. Heaven will be a much prettier place with her flare for colour. My love and thoughts are with you. Maree Grant

Carol was a beautiful, person.
I send my deepest sympathy to John and his family.
Our family met up with yours through Banks Avenue School soon after our return to Christchurch in 1981 after our 3 years in Dunedin.
Our children, Geoffrey and Raewyn developed friendships with your family . The last contact I had with you was at the Rangiora Market, and it was as though the intervening years were timeless.
My thoughts will be with you on Saturday . I am sorry I will not join you in person as sadly my aging body limits my participation.
Deepest , Kind regards, Joan Mary Love.
