Carey HAINES Obituary

My deepest sympathies to Carey's Wife Corrine and the whole family and all those members of OLV Parish.
It was a great blessing for me to meet Carey, know him and work with him for the time when I was at OLV. Carey was a man of faith and a man who had great love for the Church and his Parish. I am sure that he had been well loved and will be greatly missed by parishioners of OLV and of the New Parish - Christchurch West.
Rest In Peace CAREY. The Lord will reward you for all the good things you did for his Church and his people here on earth.

Corinne, Rebecca and Tim, so shocked and sorry to read this morning about Carey´s passing. Carey and Steve go back to the days of Prelim training and from there we had many social catch-ups, both before children and after, prior to us moving away. Our thoughts and condolences are with you at this time.

We are very sorry to hear of Carey's sudden passing.
I remember his love of wine & hearing about his regular catch ups with Dr David Burke & Father O'Grady. He will be sorely missed.

Corinne , Rebecca , and Tim. We are so sorry for your loss. Carey was one of most gentle and considerate men I have ever known. I remember long conversations with Carey after dinner on how to brew the best cup of coffee. His coffee was always the best and I appreciate his friendship and guidance

The saying goes that no person is irreplaceable or indispensable - But if ever there were an exception to this - it would be Carey. I had Carey as my boss for about 15 yrs .I remember he would have father O Grady in his office for long discussion. Carey was a kind supportive boss. Wd29 was a great place to work because of Carey.
