ONZ ChStJ Archbishop Emeritus of Wellington

On December 22, 2023, peacefully at Charles Fleming Retirement Village, Waikanae. Aged 93 years. Respected Priest and Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Wellington. A loved brother and brother-in-law of Maureen, the late Veronica, Kathleen and the late Tony, the late Pat and Ann, Michael and Charlotte, Laurie and Alice. Much loved by his nieces and nephews.

Cardinal Tom's Requiem Mass will be livestreamed via www.tributes.co.nz. A Mass will be held at Our Lady Of Kapiti, 1 Presentation Way, Paraparaumu, on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 10.30am . A Vigil service will be held at St Teresa's Church, 301 Karori Road, Karori, Wellington, on Wednesday, December 27 evening at 7.00pm. Cardinal Tom's Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Teresa's Church on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 11.00am, followed by an interment at the Karori Cemetery.
