Bruce WOOD Obituary

On July 12, 2025, peacefully at Ashley Suites, The Russley Village, in his 85th year. Dearly loved and cherished husband of Barbara for 59 years, loved Dad and father-in-law of Steph and Onno, Karyn and Dean, and loved Grandad of Tom and Bex, Nic and Fliss, Emily, and Greg. Respected eldest brother and brother-in-law of Jude (deceased), and Alan and Liz, and Jack and Colleen.

Special thanks to Dr. Andrew Butler, and the staff at Christchurch Hospital Haematology and Ashley Suites, for their care and professionalism. In lieu of flowers, donations to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand would be appreciated, and may be made online at leukaemia.org.nz. As were Bruce's wishes, a private service has been held.

Our hometown of Geraldine greatly loved & respected Bruce, his parents Ted & Peggy & all their family. Just lovely folks, one and all, and whenever Bruce returned as a Locom at The Pharmacy he greatly increased the foot traffic as folks reconnected
. Our thoughts are very much with you Barbara, Alan & Liz, Jack & Colleen & families as you celebrate Bruce and come to terms with the enormity of your loss. Geraldine Community 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's onwards.
