I was so sorry to hear that your Dad didn´t survive his surgery. I would like to send my condolences to you and your families.
I had hoped to call in and see him early in January. I did visit him the last time I was in New Zealand and had a lovely visit with him in his new home. Pam passed a messaged to him, from me, the night before his surgery which I am thankful for.
It is sad that we did not know each other as we were growing up. We, Pam, Bob and I, were very pleased that Dad welcomed visits from your Dad at the end of his life. It opened up a new world of cousins and their families. But unfortunately I live in Tasmania so have not been able to get to know you like Pam has.
If you are ever in Tasmania I would love you to visit.
My family and I will be thinking of you over the next few days and weeks as you remember your Dad´s life together. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I´m so very sad to learn of Bruce´s passing.
He and Mary were my neighbours for 25 years and I so missed our daily talks over the fence once he moved to Bellvue.
The last time I saw Bruce was at my home when we had a dinner with some of the neighbours in September. It was a special evening and I´m now all the more grateful that we all had a nice time hearing his stories of his new home. He was so happy and well.
I miss my daily talks with him over the fence and his gardening expertise.
What a special man and gentlemen.
I´m in Honolulu at the moment so unfortunately I will not be able to attend his memorial but he will be in my thoughts.
Fond Aloha, Bruce, you were very special.
