Bruce FORBES Obituary

On October 23, 2025, peacefully at Christchurch Hospital, aged 92 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Shirley for 67 wonderful years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Karen and Peter, Martin, Grant and Jill, and Anthea and Dan. Adored Grandad and lifelong champion of his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Loved by all his extended family. Born in Sydenham, Bruce was the youngest - and the "last man standing" - of the 14 Forbes siblings. He had a genuine interest in everyone he met and left a lasting, positive imprint on countless lives. Special thanks to Dr Mark Sycamore, Dr Colin Waugh, and everyone at Diana Isaac Rest Home for their care and kindness. At Bruce's request, a private cremation has been held.
