A dear friend and cycling colleague for over 25 years who will be sorely missed by the thousands of cyclists he has encountered in a full lifetime in the sport. An era in Canterbury cycling has ended. Rest In Peace Bruce.

Bruce will be missed from the road and track cycling community in Canterbury and NZ.
He will be remembered for his (plus Amy´s) unwavering and tireless contributions to local Canterbury cycling administration. Week in and week out he would be at the forefront of race organisation all around Canterbury making sure everything ran well.
His experience was reverred and respected.
His leadership style was well noted and often abrupt but we all knew Bruce came from a sincere support for cycling.
Bruce was one of a kind and will leave a huge chasm in the cycling fraternity.
Thank you Bruce( & Amy ) for what you have done in supporting successful cycling administration.

I am very sorry to hear of Bruce`s passing. I have known Bruce through Cycling in Canterbury since my cycle racing started in 1960. In 1969 I joined the Papanui cycling club. In 1974 I started working at Laurie Dawe`s run by Bruce`s parents Laurie and Gwen. The high light of the week, Friday, when Bruce called into the shop and posted the handicaps for the weeks race.
