Bruce was one of a kind. He brought humour, kindness and inspiration to the kids and adults who were lucky enough to be taught by and work with him. I loved my time working with him at Breens and Heaton. Thoughts with his family and friends. R.I.P Bruce.

On behalf of the Canterbury Primary Schools Sports Association, which involves all of the primary schools in Canterbury, I would like to acknowledge the many years that Bruce gave to ensuring all of these children had a good chance of playing sport. As my boss for 10 years, it was a pleasure to work with him.
