Devastated at the loss of such a bright light. I met Bridget at ante-natal classes in 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed her company and that of gorgeous Rubys in our early first time mum days. She was always full of laughs, warm, with a big smile. My heart breaks for Andy, her 3 children, her parents and siblings x

Am very saddened to have just learnt the tragic news of dear Bridget´s passing, she was an absolute ray of sunshine to work with at Fonterra Brands, we both left Auckland around the same time with our young families to the wine country (we to Hawkes Bay) and use to have conversations about heading for the hills from the big smoke, she helped me name our new property - she was such a beautiful person inside and my heartfelt condolences go out to her beautiful three children, husband and family, heartfelt sincere condolences from Jo Welsby

I would like to share a couple of memories of mine from the early `good old´ days.
During 2002 Andy lived with me in St Albans, Christchurch as he had retuned from London and was embarking on a Viticulturist Post Grad Diploma at Lincoln Uni.
We had both already been to Lincoln Uni after Christchurch Boys High where we completed our marketing and commerce degrees.
Fast forward to early 2003 and Andy was a qualified Viticulturalist.
We use to frequent the bars of Merivale and soon met Bridget and her friends in the hood of Merivale every Thursday, Friday, Saturday!
From memory Andy and Bridget got together around Easter 2003 and I remember Andy and I heading off to Blenheim for Easter Weekend to stay with his parents and play golf.
When we returned to Christchurch after Easter Andy and Bridget were an official item around town!
Bridget was just so friendly and caring!
How complimentary they were - Andy the Viticulturalist and Bridget the wine rep. Woohoo!!!
Wine tastings at supermarkets and liquor stores were a must. Also a great opportunity to pre-load before hitting town!
Zanzibar and Aikmans in Merivale week in and week out. Back then it never got tiring or old....
Before long Andy and Bridget had moved in to a flat.
In 2004 we all went off to Fiji for a friends wedding. We managed to fit in a few days on the Coral Coast and even an island cruise on the Tui Ti sailing boat before the wedding! The `good old´ days.
Also I remember a large Sunday wine industry golf tournament at the `Orana Park Zoo´ Golf Course. Well what a hangover that turned out to be come Monday morning!
Then there was their Engagement Party at Rutland Street - A massive house party with kegs of beer and cases of wine
Followed by their Wedding in Akaroa - a huge party and celebration
Bridget was always happy and smiling
Bridget was always helping others
Bridget was always there for her friends
Always loved
Love Steve, Kate, Harrison, and Thomas

We are all really sad up here in Wellington Bridget, the music community here is grieving. After a jam sessiom tonight with The Nudge, the day of your celebration, we just wanted to share how we loved your energy, your work and your enthusiasm. You were always so supportive and we are just so heartbroken you have been taken too soon. Thinking of your family, and hope your love of music continues to bring them together. Bye for now Bridget

Bridget I still expect you to meet us with a massive welcoming smile and hug while stamping our hands or watching the bands - you always had a hug and something to say about how lucky we are to watch the live music. You were the hostess with the most love and care whether it was getting people on buses, getting the kids lollipops, offering to do free marketing for fledgling businesses, supporting the little guys, supporting grassroots kiwi music you created a safe place for us all to be a bit different and you did it with such ease. What a loss we feel. Thank you for all you gave to everyone you met. We miss you.

As a wine tour driver I shared many friendly and funny conversations with Bridget as I waited for my charges to complete their tastings. I always appreciated her charming manner, she was a gem and I very much enjoyed her company during those times. So sad.

Bridget, you remain such a strong, friendly and loving person. What a beautiful legacy you've left behind in our hearts and minds. Someone that didn't deserve to go so soon. You're someone that remains so poignant in our minds that it's hard to begin to process and believe that you aren't here anymore. Thank you for being everything that you are to so many people. I miss you. X

GLACKIN, Bridget Lee
(nee Grieve):
On June 18, 2023 we mourned the sudden passing of Bridget Lee Glackin at the age of 47. Bridget was the beloved daughter of Peter and Colleen Grieve and dear sister and sister-in- law to Kate and Ben, Fraser and Patria. A fun Aunty to Charlie, Bella, George, Molly, Max and Hugo.
Always so thoughtful and inclusive, with such an infectious smile.
What beautiful memories you leave behind.
