Brian O'SULLIVAN Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian John O'Sullivan, who left us peacefully on March 27, 2024, at the age of 90, following a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Brian was the beloved husband, best friend, and soul mate of Julia, and was also deeply cherished by his late wife, Mary. He was a proud father and father-in-law to Tim and Sol, Dan and Lisa, Patrick, Barry and Lisa, Matthew, Jeremy and Michelle, and Andrew and Paula. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored. Brian's love, kindness, and wisdom touched not only his family but also his many nephews, nieces, and a wide circle of friends, who dearly loved him. A Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of the soul of Brian on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at 11.00am at St Raphael's Church, Hawarden. Following the Mass, Brian will be laid to rest at Horsley Down Cemetery, where we will bid him a final farewell. In place of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Amuri St. John, a cause close to Brian's heart. For those wishing to extend their condolences or share memories, please reach out through Gulliver & Tyler Funeral Services, PO Box 35, Rangiora 7440.

Brian's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but his spirit and love will forever remain with us.

Brian was a good friend and biking/tramping companion and we shared many a good time together. He had a caring quiet personality and hardly ever raised his voice. I am grateful that I got to know him in his later years, Rest in Peace Brian.
