On July 3, 2024, peacefully at Ngaio Marsh Rest Home, aged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Heather. Loved father of Robyn, Alan and Lynda. Grandfather to Michael, Daniel, Matt, Hayley and Nicole. Great-grandfather of Jessica, Taylor, Lilia, George, Mason and Isabel.

Brian and Heather were my neighbours in Rangiora for a number of years. Their garden was immaculate, as were the plants in our long shared drive which he tended, always in shorts, no matter the season.
They were a marvelous couple, always happy to chat. Brian would laugh at everything, often inappropriately, as he was quite hard of hearing. He laughed about that as well. They even accompanied me on my 50th birthday DC3 flight from Wigram to Ashburton and back.
Wherever you are now Brian . . . I hope you're allowed to wear shorts.
