I enjoyed teaching with BPK. He had a gruff exterior that I loved to break through. We taught the same course, 12MAG, and later we both tutored individually. He would occasionally send a student on to me. I will always remember him as a nice but somewhat gruff old bugger.
RIP Brian, you will be missed.

A great teacher and supporter of sport well remembered by so many at Ashburton College Brian was modest in his abilities but effective in the challenges of sports administration and Mathematic teaching With Rosalie the contribution to the community was significant. I found in him qualities that. enabled others and a great contributor - typically he has favoured a low key cremation rather than a large gathering - this is the Brian we all knew My sympathy goes to Peter Todd and Sandra as we say good by to the last of the Belt Road strollers
