7 February 1931 - 14 November 2023 Peacefully at Chatswood Rest Home in Christchurch. Loved husband of Violet (deceased). Loved father and father-in-law of Anne Marie (deceased) and Lindsay, Brian and Lynley, Desiree and Geoff. Adored Grandad and GGB to Maria and Tom, Suzanne and Tree, Janine, Dayle and Briar, Jeremy and Mel, Hamish and Reg. Special GGB to Lucy, Charlie and Archie. Messages to the Keown Family, c/- PO Box 31300, Christchurch 8444. A farewell for Brian will be held at Larcomb Vineyard, 307 Larcombs Road, Rolleston, on Thursday, November 23, at 3.00pm.

Hello Brian, Desiree and families, I was sorry to read of the passing of Brian on my tablet this morning. Helen and I had a friendship with Brian and Violet over the past 70 years and I have great memories of enjoyable times together. Brian was a life member of the Gore Harrier and Athletic club because of the great service he gave to making the club so successful in Southland in the years before he left Gore. My thoughts are with you all. Ivan Stark, Gore.
