Brian HITCHON Obituary
Passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, in the presence of his loving family, aged 79 years. Deeply loved husband of Lindsay Hitchon, adored Dad and father-in-law of Robbie and Barb, Alistair and Maria, Jimmy and Emily, and Laura, cherished grandad of his six grandchildren, Eva, Sophia, Charlie and Harry, and Oliver and Isabella, much loved son of the late Doris and Keith Hitchon, and brother of Doug, Ken (deceased), Sue, and Jane. A name that evoked so many memories. I knew Brian at Burnside High School. He and Mary (nee Travers) preceded Jim Bradley and myself as Head Prefects. They were special times as the school established itself. Brian to have been the first Head Boy was indeed special. He was a kind, gentle and much respected young man then, and I imagine that did not change. My thoughts and condolences are with the Hitchon Family. Suzanne Thurlow (nee Hay)
