So sorry to hear of the passing of Brian. Brian attended my Life Fit exercise classes at the Bishopdale YMCA for many years. The Crusader/ Highlander banter we enjoyed was second to none. An absolute gentleman. Enjoy some cold Speights up there my friend.

I have known Brian since we both joined Customs in 1959. I was from Greymouth and Brian from Dunedin. We both attended an induction course in Christchurch that year and remained good mates since. We enjoyed each others company and had many a beer over that time. My condolences to the family and a special one to Dianne

Met "Henry" when I started in Dunedin Customs 53 years ago in 1970. Another true Southern gentleman and one of lifes great characters ... will leave a big hole in the world for many.

Brian will be very much missed. A dear and loving friend of my parents, Ann and John, he was always there to support them. I will fondly remember Brian for his huge bear hugs and his equally huge heart. We were all blessed to have had this gentle giant in our lives.
