Brian ELLIS Obituary

ELLIS, Brian Edward - On Friday, May 23, 2014, suddenly but peacefully after a long illness at the Intensive Care Unit of Christchurch Hospital surrounded by family, in his 64th year. Loved husband of Strowan for 40 years. Much loved father of Andrew (Andy) and his partner and dear friend Max; cherished and adored grandad to Jayden, and Emma, and step-grandad to Jack, Sarah, and George; and a special friend to Jo. Loved brother and brother-in-law to Kevin and Sue (Auckland), and Barry (Christchurch); a loved son-in-law to Ray and Monica Knighton. Brian was a loved brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. Special thanks must be said to all of the Doctors and nurses of ICU and Ward 12 at Christchurch Hospital for all of the care they have given to Brian over many years. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John Ambulance in memory of the many trips Brian had with them would be appreciated and may be made at the Service.
