Brian CALDWELL Obituary

On February 24, 2026, passed away peacefully at Alpine View Care Centre, surrounded by family, aged 75 years. Loved husband of Pauline for 56 years, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Micky and Sue, Shaun and Liz, Wayne and Vicky, and Melissa and Stu. Absolutely loved Pops of Courtney, Tyler; Alivia, Brydon; Brody, and Gussie. Dearly loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and a good friend of many. Sincere thanks to the staff of Alpine View for their care of Brian. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Brian Caldwell, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson's New Zealand in memory of Brian would be appreciated, and may be made online at parkinsons.org.nz. A celebration of Brian's life will be held at AvonPark, corner Kerrs and Pages Roads, Linwood, on Friday, March 6, at 2.30pm. Private cremation to follow.

I first met Brian at the Shirley Rugby Club where he gave so much time with the junior section. It was my pleasure to be on Brian´s " team" making sure the young boys enjoyed their game. We had good times in that contribution to the Club. He was an asset to the club. My sincere sympathy and condolences to Pauline and family
