Kenneth Henderson Obituary

Kenneth William Henderson III, 66, of Little River, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on October 31, 1958, in Charlotte, NC, Ken was the oldest son of the late Kenneth William Henderson, Jr., and Betty Henderson. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Bufford "Bo" Henderson; sister, Linda Henderson; and brother, David Henderson (Gail); nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his life partner of 40 years, Carol O'Quinn.

Ken was a life-long biker never having joined a "biker club" who loved his Harley and collected several Honda classics throughout his life. He realized he loved "tinkering" with bikes while working at a Honda Dealership and attended, graduating 2 nd in his class from American Motorcycle Academy. Although it didn't become his full-time career, he continued working on bikes and lending a hand to others.

Having grown up in Maryland where he lived most of his life, he worked for the Navel Academy as a stationary engineer until 2013. Following his retirement, he and Carol moved to Little River where he enjoyed his time riding his bikes, boating, fishing, and crabbing. Ken was a skilled sharpshooter and a volunteer with the Low Country Preserve Gun Club.

Ken had a true passion for rescuing and trying to save any animal in need. He leaves behind two rescue cats, Sassy and Taz and his beloved rescue dog, Sunny.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in his memory to the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, 409 Bay Street, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582.
