Brian BEATTIE Obituary

On April 4, 2024, at Christchurch Hospital, with Bernadette at his side, aged 74 years. Love husband and soulmate of Bernadette, loved and adored father of Lacey and Jonathan. Loved brother-in-law of Rose and Lester, Marilyn, and the late Michael, and adored son of the late Jack and Kath Beattie. He was a respected work colleague and great friend to many people. Heartfelt thanks to the kind, caring and generous staff from Ward B5 Oncology, for their care. Your support has been truly appreciated. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Brian Beattie, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A celebration of Brian's life will be held in our Oaklands Chapel, corner Halswell Junction and Wigram Roads, Halswell, on Wednesday, April 10, at 10.30am, followed by burial at Shands Road Cemetery.

Hello Bernadette . My name is Margaret Mckenzie (née Morgan). The Morgan farm was across the road and adjoining Jack & Kaths farm ´ Glencoe´ at Heriot. We spent many years of our childhood with the Beattie´s as neighbours.
So sorry we hadn´t kept in touch and sorry to learn from sister Lorna May who lives in ChCh, that Brian has passed away.
My sympathy to you and your family.
I have many memories of fun times the Beattie´s and the Morgan´s enjoyed in the 1950s!
