Ruth and I were really saddened to hear of the passing of Brian.I met Brian and Helen way back in Sept 1988 and I started guiding on Dry Creek shortly after that meeting right through to 2007. Brian was a great story teller and also a great friend. Rest in peace Brian.

So sad to read of Brian's passing.
I was Brian's Barber for many years and it always ended up with a big hug from Brian.
He was a lovely man and I know he was held in high regard by his many friends and the Fairlie community.
I was fortunate enough to speak with Brian at the Hospice before he passed while I was there with my own mother.
Deepest sympathy to Helen and Brian's family and I know he will be sorely missed by many.
A mighty Oak has fallen. May he Rest In Peace.

Fond memories of the trip to Mt Cook for the last Burnett stock sale. Always up for a joke or prank. A huge loss for the high country farming community.

It is with heartfelt sadness that we heard of the passing of Brian, our deepest sympathy to all the family.
Brian was one of life's true Gentleman, and will be sadly missed for his wicked sense of humour and his ability to keep such a straight face when telling the most amazing porkies, always bought a smile to your face.
He has contributed so much to our community over the years and we are forever grateful.
Rest in peace Brian you now have a whole new audience to spin your yarns to. If was a privilege knowing you.
