Hey, Brett and Renée, from the first year you took over Black Diamond Safaris from Simon and Heather Dent, to now; so many trips to Mt Olympus and Craigieburn; so many small kindnesses and favours; such boundless generosity and unfailing good humour. Thank you both for being such good friends.
Brett's been helping me with my pack these days but without ever making me feel like the old codger I've become! Thanks Brett, it's been a pleasure being with you,

It was with you I had my first experience of Mt Olympus, needless to say it was an eye opener! Not just Mt O, but your hardcore personality got me hooked on the clubbies. In the years that followed when I was working at Mt O, I always got excited when your voice came over the radio. "Today's gonna be a great day if Bretto's here"
You were the most entertaining personality I've come across in the snow world, a true man of the mountains. Now forever in the mountains and our hearts.

A life taken far too early, our deepest sympathies to you all. Sending our love at this incredibly difficult time.

Brett, your guiding made me feel like Mt. Olympus is my second hometown. The times you took us to the ridge to see the magnificent view are irreplaceable memories.

Renee, even though I am away, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Brett was an absolute legend with an epic sense of humour and an infectious energy. I was in the same year as him at St Bede's and my family's home was in Methven, so I used to see him round from time to time when he was living there too. I was always stoked to see him and admired how he lived his life - such a real, down-to-earth character. He was taken way too young, but has left such a positive impact on so many lives. Rest easy brother.
