Bill WATSON Obituary
It is with much sadness we announce the passing of our father Bill on September 26, 2021, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Summerset in the Sun in Nelson. Bill is now happily reunited with his darling wife Helen. Loving father and father-in-law of Dianne, Neville and the late John MacDonald; Graeme and Suzanne Watson; Janice and Trevor Cochrane; Ian and Gillian Watson; and Julie and Tim Raateland. Devoted and proud Grandfather of Nathan and Sophie, and Mitchell MacDonald; Simon Watson; Charlotte and Fraser McLachlan, James and Rebecca Cochrane; Zac and Ashleigh, Zoe and Peter, and Molly Watson; Luke and Lydia, Tom and Emily, and Harry Moore; Adam, Genevieve and Harriet Raateland. Honoured and adored Great-Grandfather of Tayla, Hannah and Olivia MacDonald, Chloe and Ruby MacDonald, Fletcher and Amelia Cochrane, and Cooper and Tasha McLachlan. The family wish to acknowledge the team at Summerset for their wonderful loving care of Bill.
"An innings well played, bowled before a century made."
A private cremation will be held, and a celebration of Dad's life held at a later date.

I was so sad to read of Bill's passing. He was such a lovely man and I enjoyed caring for him when he lived in his Summerset villa. I tried to visit him on a few occasions but was finally stopped by the virus. I am glad he was surrounded by his family as I know how proud he was of all of you and how much he loved you all. So all my sympathies go to you for the loss of this wonderful,kind man.
