Rest in peace, Aunty Bev! Thank you for many happy childhood memories of time spent with you and your family. I enjoyed your quick humour and witty comments, always with a twinkle in your eye. After many years, I was grateful to see you again last December. Thank you for your love and commitment to family. Sending love and condolences to Sally, Philippa, Susan and Colin. You are in my prayers. Sorry I won´t be with you in person.

Bev and I were in the same group at Chch. Teachers' College 1959-61. We remained lifelong friends.
I admired her lively sense of humour and remain grateful for her honest conversations. She was confident in expressing her convictions and was a great help in giving me advice during a difficult time of my life.
A skillful cricketer! I joined the Women's Cricket Team for a match against Dunedin Teachers' College. My one and only cricket match! I was convinced I let the team down by dropping 2 catches!!! We won the match because of more talented players including Bev!!! I last saw Bev in Chch on holiday with Marion Wilcox (Alexander) who lives in Australia. We met up for a memorable lunch together in April this year. I have never met Bev's family but feel I know you because she regularly kept me up-to-date with always welcome letters. Please accept my condolences. My thoughts are with you! Lyn Chittenden.
