Beverley AITKEN Obituary

Peacefully on June 12, 2024, at Dunedin Hospital; aged 81 years. Dearly loved wife of James, much loved mother and mother-in-law of Anthony and Barbara, Jacquie and Chris, and the late Phillip, cherished Grandma Bev of Harvey, and Jules; Lily, Oscar, and Polly. Loved elder sister and sister-in-law of Jenny and Terry Wastney, John and Clare Pascoe, loved aunty to her nieces and nephews, and their families. Thank you to the caring staff at Leslie Groves Hospital and latterly Dunedin Hospital for their love and care. - Bev's farewell service will be held in St John's Anglican Church, 373 Highgate, Dunedin, on Tuesday, June 18 at 2.00pm, followed by private cremation. Messages can be left on Bev's page at www.tributes.co.nz where you can also access the livestream.

If this is the Beverley Aitken who was a nurse at the 24th Evac Hospital during the Vietnam War, and I think it is, I remember working with her in the Operating Room. I also knew her husband Jim but only in passing. She was great to work with. All the best to her family. Tom Holland OR Tech 91D20.
