Velma and family
We were at Pat Cumming's funeral on Friday (1/7) and learned of Bevan's passing. Hence this belated message.
What a vibrant and worthy life Bevan had. His legacy professionally , in community, church, family and lives influenced was immense. You married within a few weeks of our wedding and through Bevan's entertaining and informative annual Christmas greeting letters we were able to share your wonderful family life and Bevan's wit and personality.
We send our belated condolences and love to you all as we remember Bevan's fabulous life.

Uncle Bevan will be sadly missed. He had a wonderful way of talking to anyone and adding a smile to their face. As a teacher he touched many students future lives with his wit, thirst for knowledge and clever problem-solving skills. A brilliant, funny and family-oriented man who was always humble about his many accomplishments.
Remembered in our hearts with love from Jayne, Graeme, Emlou and Will Lattimore.

Bevan Clarke developed the computer program which is still used by the Library today. We remember his happy and vibrant manner whenever he visited us. He always had a smile. He will be greatly missed.

So sad to lose another colleague from yester year. Apologies for not being at the farewell, unfortunately I had a medical emergency this morning. As a UC colleague I spent time with Bevan and enjoyed his boundless energy and enthusiasm. In the early days of computing we wrote books on Fortran together. We former colleagues may lose touch in retirement but retain great memories of our times at UoC. My condolences to all the family at your loss.
