It was prior to her move to Dunedin that I last had a chat with Beulah. Living close to you will have made recent years significant for Beulah and of course all of you.
Jan and I (Jan died 2009) always held Beulah and Neil in high regard and I clearly recall they were an encouraging role model for us as we began our married life some 60 years ago. I don´t know how her health has been in recent years but the memories I carry of Beulah are of a warm welcoming personality, creative, a lover of things beautiful, gifted writer - it seems a little simple but Beulah was a beautiful person. As you all continue on with your lives the memories you carry and hold dear will kep her spirit alive.
When I became aware of Beulah´s death, I spoke with Margaret Gilchrist she lives in Wellington (Jan´s eldest sister, another Cairns cousin) she spoke warmly of many occasions shared with Beulah and Neil. I´m sure you will hear from her.
Holding you all in my thoughts at this time.

Dear Melissa and family, much love from Hope Presbyterian, formerly Hornby Presbyterian Community Church.
Beulah was a much loved member of our congregation for many years. Both Neil and Beulah were very active in our church community and served the Lord and our congregation in many areas of church life.
We are very saddened to hear that Beulah has died, but rejoice that she is at peace in the arms of our Lord. Sending our love and blessings to all your family.
