Betty WELLS Obituary

On October 28, 2025, at Waikanae, in her 98th year. The Esperance Street icon died peacefully, after a short illness. Dearly loved wife of the late John Cameron Wells, mother of Sue, nana of Chris and Nick Johnstone. Sue, Chris and Nick wish to particularly thank Betty's nephew John Hayward for his many kindnesses to Betty, and the staff at Charles Fleming Retirement Village who made her final three years absolutely first class. In accordance with Betty's wishes ("don't you go spending money on me!"), a private cremation has been held. She will be interred on November 26, at 1.00pm, alongside John in the Oxford Cemetery.
